Intro to Ceramics at MØDE!

A 3-Hour Beginner Ceramics Experience at Mode Campus

Ever wanted to try the pottery wheel? This hands-on introductory ceramics class is the perfect place to start.

In this three-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing in a relaxed, supportive environment inside the Mode Campus Ceramics Studio. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get a little muddy.

What You’ll Learn

During this beginner-friendly session, students will be guided step-by-step through:

  • Introduction to clay and studio tools

  • Proper centering techniques

  • Opening and pulling walls

  • Creating a basic cylinder form

  • Shaping bowls or cups

  • Trimming basics (demo)

  • How glazing and firing works

Our instructor will provide live demonstrations, hands-on guidance, and individual feedback throughout the class.

  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to get settled
