A 3-Hour Beginner Ceramics Experience at Mode Campus
Ever wanted to try the pottery wheel? This hands-on introductory ceramics class is the perfect place to start.
In this three-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing in a relaxed, supportive environment inside the Mode Campus Ceramics Studio. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get a little muddy.
What You’ll Learn
During this beginner-friendly session, students will be guided step-by-step through:
Introduction to clay and studio tools
Proper centering techniques
Opening and pulling walls
Creating a basic cylinder form
Shaping bowls or cups
Trimming basics (demo)
How glazing and firing works
Our instructor will provide live demonstrations, hands-on guidance, and individual feedback throughout the class.
