On March 4, MØDE Campus opens its Wrestling Mat Room for a powerful and deeply personal evening — an exclusive screening of Standout, the story of Ben Kjar. This event is designed specifically for wrestlers, coaches, families, and those who believe the mat is more than a sport — it’s a proving ground for life.
This is more than a film.
It’s a conversation about courage, identity, and choosing to rise.

The Film
Standout tells the inspiring true story of Ben Kjar, born with Crouzon Syndrome — a rare craniofacial condition. From birth, doctors predicted a life marked by limitations, bullying, and scrutiny.
But Ben wanted more than survival. He wanted belonging. He wanted strength. He wanted to compete.
Through relentless adversity — painful surgeries, public ridicule, and social rejection — Ben found his arena in wrestling. On the mat, he discovered something transformative: his difference was not a weakness. It was power.
As he battled through physical, social, and even romantic challenges, Ben faced a defining question:
