An Evening of Courage, Identity & Choosing to Stand Out
Some stories change how you see the world.
Others change how you see yourself.
Join us at MØDE Campus for a special public screening of Standout — the powerful true story of Ben Kjar. This inspiring evening invites the greater Liberty Lake community to gather, reflect, and experience a story rooted in resilience, belonging, and the strength to rise.
Hosted inside the MODE Café, this event blends meaningful storytelling with the warmth and connection of community.
*Ben Kjar will be at the Mode Campus in person to watch the film and speak after the screening
Limited seating available.
The Film
Standout shares the remarkable journey of Ben Kjar, born with Crouzon Syndrome — a rare craniofacial condition. From the beginning, he was told his life would be defined by limitations, bullying, and scrutiny.
But Ben refused to live small.
Through painful surgeries, relentless adversity, and social rejection, he discovered his power on the wrestling mat — transforming what made him different into a source of strength.
As he navigates physical challenges, relationships, and moments of public ridicule, Ben faces a defining choice:
Fade into a comfortable version of “normal” — or boldly stand out.
This film is a reminder that courage is not the absence of hardship — it’s the decision to rise anyway.
